Phantom Blade Zero is about 145GB on PC, but developer S-Game asks players to reserve at least 300GB of free disk space for the pre-load. Pre-loading opens October 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM PDT, ahead of the October 29 launch. That’s 10:00 PM ET, or 2:00 AM GMT on October 27. On PS5, the download is a smaller 134.857GB.
We would clear some drive space now. S-Game’s post also tells PC players to install the game on an SSD and to check the system requirements before they start.
Why 300GB for a 145GB game
The extra room is temporary. According to coverage of the announcement, S-Game says temporary files and the complete game files have to coexist while the pre-load unlocks. Once that finishes, the install settles at about 145GB, so the 300GB is a working-space figure and not the final footprint.

That still leaves a lot of drives short. Anyone running a 512GB SSD with a few other big games installed may need to uninstall something before pre-load day. S-Game also advises avoiding the C: drive for steadier frame rates.
The rest of the PC requirements

Outside of storage, the specs are modest. The published requirements list the following tiers:
- Minimum (1080p, 30 FPS with upscaling): Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 1660 6GB or Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB.
- Recommended (1440p, 60 FPS with upscaling): Intel Core i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB of RAM, with a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB.
- Ray tracing: a GeForce RTX 5060 8GB targets 1080p at 60 FPS with upscaling.
- Path tracing: a GeForce RTX 5080 16GB targets 2160p at 60 FPS with upscaling.
An SSD and DirectX 12 are required, and DSOGaming notes the game uses Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
