Edenfall lets you be a wolf, raccoon and raven, and it’s out in Q4 2026

Edenfall heads to PC in Q4 2026

Edenfall: Legacy of the First Wardens will launch on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in Q4 2026, developer Everflux Games has announced. The studio also says a demo is available now.

The action-adventure game follows Venya through a world covered in darkness, with the story built around shapeshifting, restoration, and a companion spirit fox.

Shift between human and animal forms

At the heart of Edenfall is a form-changing system that lets players move between human, wolf, raccoon, and raven. Each form is designed for different types of traversal and combat.

  • Raven: glide through misty canopies
  • Wolf: pounce across landscapes
  • Raccoon: slip through narrow ruins
  • Human: attack with precision

Everflux Games says the game will reward players for switching forms smoothly, both in exploration and battle.

Combat, puzzles and world restoration

The developer describes Edenfall as a game built around fluid form-blending combat. Players can chain attacks across different forms, combining quick raccoon strikes, wolf attacks and human finishing moves.

Progress also appears tied to the state of the world. According to the studio, defeating enemies and bosses will help turn corrupted regions back to their natural state, restoring pieces of Eden as the story moves forward.

Why it matters for action-adventure fans

Edenfall is positioning itself as more than a simple transformation mechanic. The mix of movement, combat and environmental restoration suggests a game that wants every form to feel useful in a different part of the adventure.

For players tracking upcoming PC releases, the current demo offers an early look before the Q4 2026 launch window. Everflux Games also shared a new gameplay trailer alongside the announcement.
