If you’re a retro gaming enthusiast, you’re in for a treat. Analogue has announced a new line of Analogue 3D consoles featuring unreleased N64 colors. Dubbed the Prototype Editions, these consoles will be available in highly limited quantities starting February 9 at 8 a.m. PST, retailing at $299.99.
This nostalgic release includes five translucent colorways that were originally prototyped for the N64 but never saw the light of day. Here’s the lineup:
- Ghost: Sea Glass
- Glacier: Milky White
- Atomic Purple: Deep Plum
- Extreme Green: Neon Green
- Ocean: Cobalt
These colors were unearthed in 2019 by Console Variations, thanks to a tip from a former Nintendo of Europe employee. Analogue spent over a year perfecting these hues to match the original prototypes.
Alongside the console, matching 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth controllers will be available for $44.99. Preorders for the controllers will open on the same day as the consoles, though they won’t ship until April.
