Neverness to Everness Reopens Its City With New Content in 2026 Co-Ex Test

NTE Registration

Neverness to Everness (NTE), the ambitious urban open-world RPG from Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio, has returned with a new closed beta test featuring expanded gameplay systems and city activities. The latest test, titled the “Co-Ex Test,” is now live on PC and PlayStation 5, giving selected players another look at the supernatural city of Hethereau.

While registration for the PC and PS5 Co-Ex Test has now closed, players still have a chance to gain access through Twitch Drops by watching participating livestreams and linking their Perfect World Games account. In addition, pre-registration has officially opened for the iOS and Android versions of Neverness to Everness, signaling broader platform plans heading into 2026.

New City Systems and Gameplay Features

The Co-Ex Test introduces several major mechanics that further expand NTE’s vision of a living, reactive city.

One of the most notable additions is a crime and wanted system. Illegal actions now raise a player’s wanted level, potentially triggering police pursuits. Captured players are sent to a detention center, where they can either work to reduce their sentence or attempt a daring escape.

Vehicle gameplay has also received a significant overhaul. New rideable options include muscle cars, supercars, and motorbikes, alongside improved driving physics and handling. Vehicles can now take damage, lose tires, be knocked back, or even explode, while players gain access to new actions such as honking, jumping from vehicles, and switching to a first-person driving view. Expanded vehicle customization options are also available during the test.

Beyond combat and traversal, the city itself is more interactive than ever. Players can take part in everyday urban activities like fishing, taxi driving, racing, Mahjong, rhythm games, and working at coffee shops. A new activity, the Pink Paws Heist, adds a cooperative criminal element where players can steal resources across the city.

New Looks for a Modern City

Character customization has also been expanded with new urban-styled outfits for the protagonist and main cast. The designs focus on sleek, minimalist fashion that fits the modern city setting, favoring practical silhouettes over exaggerated fantasy elements.

A Supernatural Open World Built on Unreal Engine 5

Set in the sprawling city of Hethereau, Neverness to Everness blends urban life with supernatural anomalies in a seamless open world powered by Unreal Engine 5. Players control a roster of distinct characters, each with unique personalities and abilities, as they investigate anomalies through episodic, comedy-drama inspired storylines.

Outside of the main narrative, the game emphasizes player freedom. Activities range from collecting and modifying sports cars to purchasing and designing city apartments, racing, and even running businesses — allowing players to shape their own experience within the city.

Neverness to Everness is currently in development for PC, console, and mobile platforms, with more information expected as testing continues throughout 2026.
