Heavy Rain Sells 2 Million Units
David Cage, head of Quantic Dream, has announced Heavy Rain has sold over two million units.
At GDC – during his Post Mortem on Heavy Rain – David Cage unveiled that PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain has sold over two million units since its launch last year.
Also, he also revealed that 72% of those who played Heavy Rain completed the murder-myster thriller.
Heavy Rain was released for the PS3 back in February, 2010 and sold over one million copies only a few weeks after its launch – a surprise to many seeing how unique the game was (many had thought it would fail to sell due to its concept)

The game’s success was attributed to its engaging storyline, complex characters, and the immersive gameplay experience that it provides.
Heavy Rain’s success paved the way for Quantic Dream’s subsequent titles, including Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human, both of which have been critically acclaimed for their storytelling and innovative gameplay mechanics.
